Resident Settles Lawsuit Over Sexually Graphic Photo in Stonington

A woman has settled her lawsuit against a former Stonington official charged with sending a sexually graphic photo to the plaintiff.

STONINGTON, CT - A Pawcatuck resident has settled in her case against a former Stonington official, the New London Day reported. The lawsuit concerns a lewd photo allegedly sent by the official to the plaintiff.

Tracy Swain has withdrawn her case against former First Selectman Ed Haberek after the two parties reached a settlement, according to the New London Day. In her lawsuit, Swain alleged Haberek sent her a sexually graphic photo of himself using his town-issued Blackberry in 2010.

The lawsuit was filed in 2012 and originally sought $500,000 in damages and legal fees, the New London Day reported. The terms of the settlement were not made public. (To sign up for Stonington/Mystic breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
