RI Butter Product Company Receives Approval for North Stonington Facility

The company produces ghee, and will soon be doing so in Connecticut.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – A company based in Rhode Island that produces a butter product had plans for a production facility in North Stonington approved, The Day reported.

The company, Farm to Gold, is based in Middletown, R.I. and produces a clarified butter product called ghee, according to The Day. It originated in India and is produced by heating butter to eliminate water and milk solids.

The site plan calls for a 3,500 square-foot facility for light manufacturing that will resemble a barn, The Day reported. The location was good for the company because of the easy access to I-95.
