RI Driver Hits Nativity Scene, Parked Truck In Putnam: Report

Police said the driver was charged with driving under the influence.

PUTNAM, CT — Police said a Rhode Island man was charged with driving under the influence after he went off the road and hit a nativity scene Tuesday night, according to media reports. The incident occurred when Justin Hanosky, 27, of Johnston, R.I., was driving on Park Street around 11:15 p.m.

According to NBC Connecticut, police said the accused lost control of his vehicle, went through a wooden fence and allegedly damaged a number of items on the Park Street property, including Christmas decorations and a shed. Police said the accused was stopped after his vehicle slammed into a truck parked in a driveway, the Norwich Bulletin reported. No one was injured and officers are still investigating the incident, police said.
