Road Closures Announced For Mystic Irish Parade
Police have announced temporary road closures that will be in place this weekend due to the annual Mystic Irish Parade.

MYSTIC, CT ā The Stonington Police Department and the Groton Town Police Department have announced the issuance of a Temporary No Parking Order and road closures for Sunday in downtown Mystic due to the annual Mystic Irish Parade taking place this weekend.
The road closures will occur at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and will remain in effect until approximately 30 minutes after the parade ends, according to a release.
The following roads will be closed:

- Rte 27: From Coogan Boulevard to School Street
- Willow St.: From Route 27 to Broadway Avenue
- Broadway Avenue: From Willow St to East Main Street
- East Main Street: From Broadway Ave to the Drawbridge.
- West Main Street: From the Drawbridge to High Street
- Water Street: From West Main St., to New London Road
- Pearl Street: From West Main St., to Clift Street
- Gravel Street: From West Main St., to Clift Street
Police said the temporary no parking order will be in effect from 4 a.m. on Sunday until 4 p.m. that same day.

Route 27: From Coogan Blvd. to School St.
Willow Street: From Rte. 27 to Broadway Ave.
Broadway Avenue: From Willow St. to East Main St.
East Main Street: From Broadway Ave. to the Drawbridge.
School Street
Brown Street
West Main Street: From the Drawbridge to High St.
Water Street: From West Main St., to New London Rd.
High Street: Between New London Rd. and West Main St,
New London Road: Between West Main St. and High St.
Cliff Street: West of Pearl St.
Edgecomb Street: Extending a portion of the road west, from Burrows St.
Library Street: Between West Main St. and Allyn St.
Orchard Lane
Rowland Street
In conjunction with Mystic Irish Parade Foundation (MIPF), the Stonington and Groton police departments remind everyone that the parade is a family-oriented event.
"We would like to ask for your continued support in ensuring we provide a safe, fun environment for all parade participants and spectators," police said in a release. "As a reminder, consumption of alcohol of any kind in public areas is not allowed. We hope that you will support us as we work together to provide an alcohol-free event along the parade route. We look forward to another safe and successful parade."
