Road Construction To Cause Traffic Delays, Closures In Stonington
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible as roadwork is expected to disrupt traffic throughout next week.
STONINGTON, CT — Construction work will get underway beginning Monday, resulting in traffic delays and road closures in Stonington.
The work will affect Deans Mill Road and Mistuxet Avenue between Aquarion Water Company and Montauk Avenue, according to a notice from the town.
A full road closure is planned for Monday, Nov. 9, with marked detour signs in place for most of the day.

Additional delays and temporary road closures are expected throughout the remainder of the week as construction continues.
Town officials are advising driving to avoid the affected area if possible. Drivers who must travel through the construction zone should allow extra time to reach their destinations and reduce their speed near work crews.
