Ledyard High School Drama will present
Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy Rumors this coming Friday and Saturday (November
22-23). The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. both nights and take place in the high
school auditorium.
At a large, tastefully appointed
Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself.
Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack
of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding
in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife
Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive.
As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into
classic farcical hilarity.
“Rumors is a play that will have you
laughing out loud all night” says Director Russell Hammond. “I thought it was
the perfect choice, following Spoon River Anthology and The Diary of Anne Frank
the past two years, for both the development of the students in our drama
program and for our audiences”. “It has
been great to see the show come together and I am confident the audience will
have a good time”
