Runaway Horse Located by Police, Returned to Owner

Police were contacted after neighbors were awoken by a wandering horse.

STONINGTON, CT- A runaway horse was found by police Wednesday and returned to its owner, as reported by the Westerly Sun.

The runaway horse was found near the intersection Pequot Trail on Farmholme Road around 5:15 a.m. after police received reports from neighbors awoken by a wandering horse, the Westerly Sun reported. The horse was found in healthy condition.

Police quickly restrained the horse with no issue from the animal, according to the Westerly Sun. The owner reported the horse missing close to 7 a.m. and it was returned to him that day.
