CT Weather: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of 2nd 'Major' Nor'easter Snow
Some areas of the state will see 2 to 3 inches of snow per hour. Here is a breakdown by county in CT of snow estimates and timeline.

You’ve heard and read about this snowstorm for almost a week now and it’s finally almost here. Now we’ll know late Wednesday whether it lived up to all of its hype. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for most of Connecticut for Wednesday and early Thursday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the coast of Middlesex and New London counties where rain will mix in and keep snow totals down.
It appears that light snow will enter the state in time for the morning commute but that the heaviest snow accumulation is expected in the late morning, afternoon and early evening hours. The evening commute home will be very difficult. It’s clear the farther west you are, the more snow you’re expected to receive from this storm.
Here are the latest snow estimates from the National Weather Service. For all of Fairfield County, inland areas of New Haven County and inland areas of Middlesex County, the weather service says 7 to 12 inches of snow is expected. Snowfall rates in the afternoon will be 1 to 2 inches per hour.

Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties are expected to receive 8 to 12 inches of snow and the weather service says travel during the evening commute will be very difficult due to snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour. Litchfield County is expected to receive 12 to 18 inches of snow.

Tightened up some of the snowfall ranges. Looks like a really heavy burst of snow tomorrow afternoon with the possibility of thunder, lightning, and a mix with rain at the coast. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/hPe9MwyYmc
