Connecticut Weather: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of 3rd Nor'easter Snow

The National Weather Service's estimations of snow, wind and temperatures for the CT nor'easter, broken down county by county.

There is one new weather forecast change concerning Connecticut’s third nor’easter in the past three weeks. A slight track shift means more snow for western parts of the state than originally anticipated. Generally, six to 12 inches of snow is expected statewide before it tapers off Tuesday afternoon.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the entire state from midnight tonight until tomorrow night. For Fairfield and New Haven counties, the weather service predicts 5 to 7 inches of snow. (For an hour-by-hour look see below.)

For Middlesex and New London counties, 6 to 9 inches of snow is predicted with some area receiving up to 12 inches. In Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties, 6 to 12 inches of snow is forecast and some areas could see 14 inches. Litchfield County is predicted to receive 9 to 18 inches of snow and snow here is possible into Wednesday morning.

Fairfield County Coast:

11 p.m.: 34 degrees; 59 percent chance of precipitation

2 a.m.: 34 degrees; 89 percent chance of precipitation

5 a.m.: 33 degrees; 89 percent chance of precipitation

8 a.m.: 34 degrees; 89 percent chance of precipitation
