Scott Bates Considers Running for Governor
Scott Bates of Stonington recently announced he is considering running for governor of Connecticut.

STONINGTON, CT - Scott Bates of Stonington is considering running for governor of Connecticut, the New London Day reported. His decision whether or not to actually run will involve a lot of thought however.

Bates confirmed Thursday he has been approached by a group of municipal leaders asking him to run for the position, the New London Day reported. If elected, he would become the first southeastern Connecticut resident to serve as governor in over a century.
