The Center for National Policy has announced that Scott Bates, of Stonington, has been named president.
According to the press release, Bates is an expert in national security and has plenty of political experience on the state, national and international levels.

"I am honored to be part of a thirty-year tradition of service at CNP that includes leaders like Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright, Cyrus Vance and Edmund Muskie as well as Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin and 9/11 Commissioner Tim Roemer," said in the press release.
