“Seniors Celebrating Seniors” at StoneRidge
Residents Host Mini Graduation for Part-Time Employees

Residents of StoneRidge Senior Living assembled on the community green to hold a graduation ceremony for part-time employees who are graduating from area high schools and college.
“These graduating seniors are near to our hearts. They’re part of our StoneRidge family and we wanted to make sure that they are properly celebrated for their academic achievements and commitment to continue their education,” said Executive Director Kathleen Dess.
“Many of us residents have been high school teachers and college professors. Others were fortunate to pursue professional and graduate degrees themselves. We value the educational experience and, as a community, we’ve established a long tradition of tradition of supporting our employees’ educational pursuits,” said Joan Greene, a StoneRidge resident and former instructor at University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University. She is currently a professor at Quinebaug Middle College in Danielson.
