Mystic River Yacht Club Open House

The Mystic River Yacht Club invites the public to tour the clubhouse and enjoy the fire and warm cider and donuts. Authors Captain Bill Palmer and Lisa Saunders will be on hand autographing copies of their books, The Last Battle of the Atlantic: The Sinking of the U-853 and Mystic Seafarer’s Trail, respectively. In addition, Captain Palmer will show diving footage of area shipwrecks. Other vendors will also make holiday gifts available for purchase.

Captain Bill Palmer of Wallingford, author of The Last Battle of the Atlantic: The Sinking of the U-853, is one of New England's leading authorities on underwater wrecks, and has videotaped dozens of submarines, U-boats, and sunken vessels that have been lost in East Coast waters.
