SHS Teacher Resigned, Linked To Female Students' Complaints
According to a report in The Day, now former Stonington High School teacher and coach Timothy Chokas resigned after student complaints.

STONINGTON, CT—Based on interviews with students, The Day reported that longtime Stonington High School media arts teacher and assistant golf coach Timothy Chokas was accused by female students of habitually engaging in "unwanted and inappropriate physical contact with them and other classmates."
And through Freedom of Information Act requests, reporter Joe Wojtas learned that Chokas was the subject of a number of complaints from female students dating back to at least 2016. Wojtas also learned that , "in December 2018, the school system received a new complaint that Chokas had inappropriate physical contact with a female student in his classroom."
Wojtas reported Chokas resigned in January.

"A separation agreement between the school department and Chokas does not give a reason for the resignation."

Chokas, 53, a North Stonington resident, is originally from Columbia, Connecticut, and studied at Central Connecticut State University, according to this Facebook page.
