Public Invited to Attend Readings from Stoker's Dracula and Selections from Edgar Allen Poe

Ready to get in the spirit of Halloween? Come to StoneRidge on October 30 for a spine-tingling reading of Bram Stoker’s Dracula and special macabre selections from the works of Edgar Allen Poe, presented by actor Michael Langlois.

Langlois, dressed in 19th century clothing will deliver a dramatic reading of Dracula’s mysterious arrival on the Demeter from Varna to Whitby, England. Written as journal entries, the tale of Dracula recounts the story of how young lawyer Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania to help a mysterious and wealthy nobleman, Count Dracula, purchase an estate in England. The work of Edgar Allen Poe, famed American mystery writer, will also be featured, include The Raven and The Masque of the Red Death.

Thespian Langlois has been practicing his craft for more than 20 years, having directed and acted in productions throughout New England. He also serves as activities director at StoneRidge in a full-time capacity.
