State Approves Grants for Stonington Davis-Standard Expansion
Governor Malloy announced Wednesday that the grants will aid in the expansion that promises to bring new jobs.

STONINGTON, CT- Grants totaling $1.3 million promised by the State Department of Economic and Community Development for an expansion were announced by Gov. Dannel Malloy Wednesday, as reported by The Day.
The grants will be used for an expansion planned by The Davis-Standard manufacturing site in Pawcatuck, according to The Day. Thought the grants will require state Bond Commission approval, the funds will be released in stages as job milestones are reached by the manufacturer.
The expansion will bring approximately 30 new jobs in the next two years, The Day reported. The existing site is already the company’s largest worldwide and employs more than 400.
