State Senator Blumenthal to Speak at Mystic Aquarium

MYSTIC, CT – U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal will speak Tuesday evening at Mystic Aquarium, The Day reported.

The talk, held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., is part of the aquarium’s Conservation in Action speaker series, according to The Day. He will speak about the effort to designate the New England Coral Canyons and Seamounts area as a Marine National Monument.

The designation would make the area the nation’s first Marine National Monument in the Atlantic Ocean, according to The Day. The aquarium’s Senior Research Scientist Peter Auster will also be speaking.
