State Trooper Charged with Threatening North Stonington Woman: Police

A state trooper is suspected of threatening a woman over the weekend in his home.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – A state police trooper is facing charges for threatening a woman at his home, according to media reports.

A woman reported being allegedly threatened by David Greene, 43, on Friday, according to Fox 61. Greene has been a state trooper with the police for nearly 18 years.

Police said they responded to a Mystic Road home that belonged to Greene around 11:54 p.m. that night, The Day reported. Greene was taken into custody without incident on Saturday and was arraigned Monday.

Greene was assigned to Troop-E in Montville, according to Fox 61. He is currently suspended.

The suspect’s duty weapon was seized in accordance with state law, The Day reported. He will appear in court again on Sept. 22.
