STONINGTON, CT - Local company Leaf Shave is attempting to change the razor industry. Rather than the conventional plastic cartridge razor, Leaf Shave offers an all-metal razor that's intended to last for years to come to limit plastic waste.

"We reinvented the razor. Someone needed to do it (humbly, in our opinion) and so we did," the company wrote on its website. "Metal straws are popping out of reusable tumblers. People are investing in fewer, but better things. And disposable plastic razor cartridges just don't cut it anymore. That pun — was intended."

Leaf Shave offers a three-blade pivoting head razor that, over the long run, is intended to save customers money as they will not have to buy cartridges repeatedly.
