Stonington Man Accused of Murdering Wife More than a Decade Ago Dies

The deceased previously stood trial for the alleged murder of his wife in 2002.

STONINGTON, CT – A man found not guilty of murdering his wife in 2002 has recently died, The Day reported.

Charles Buck, 69, was accused of murdering his wife, Leslie, in 2002 and subsequently found not guilty after doubts arose about the nature of the woman’s death, The Day reported. Police had originally charged Buck with striking his wife’s head with a bat, causing her to fall down the stairs.

Buck had previously suffered serious injuries after falling at his Elm Street home on Aug. 31, according to The Day. He died on Oct. 12, but his death certificate was not filed until Thursday.
