Stonington Man Shares Traveling Tales on Papua New Guinea

The Mystic & Noank Library is hosting an illustrated lecture by Stonington resident Ray Uzanas Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.
Uzanas will share stories and photographs of his travels to Papua New Guinea in November 2013. Papua New Guinea is a culturally diverse country on the Pacific Ocean north of Australia, home to over 700 tribes - each with its own language.

Uzanas has photographed the people, plants and animals of the country. Uzanas worked as a chemist in the industrial diamond industry before pursuing another career as a writer, photographer and adventurer. In the past two years, Uzanas has traveled to Indonesia, Patagonia, the Arctic Circle, Australia, New Guinea and Europe.
