Stonington Election 2017 Results: Winners Revealed In Key Races

STONINGTON, CT — The polls have closed in Stonington and winners are starting to be revealed in key races. Dozens of candidates are on the ballot for this year's local election.

Candidates

Here are the unofficial results for a number of Stonington races, according to the CT Secretary of State election center:

First Selectman (vote for one):

• Rob Simmons (R): 2,936 votes
• George A. Crouse (D): 1,830 votes

Selectman (vote for one):

• Kate Rotella: 2,343 votes
• John Prue: 2,268 votes

Town Clerk (vote for one):

• Cindy Ladwig (D) unopposed

Town Treasurer (vote for one):

• Sandy Grimes (D): 2,547 votes
• John Delmhorst (R): 2,038 votes

Tax Collector (vote for one):

• Linda M. Camelio (R) unopposed

Board of Finance- Four Year Term (vote for any two):

• Timothy O'Brien (D): 2,598 votes
• Lynn Young (R): 2,242 votes
• Farouk Rajab (D): 2,220 votes
• Lance Hamilton (R): 1,871 votes

Board of Finance- Two Year Term (vote for one):

• Danielle Chesebrough (D): 2,470 votes
• Richard Ballestraci (R): 2,065 votes
