Stonington Officials Commit to Obtaining Funds for Bridge Replacement
The bridge will connect Groton with Stonington in Old Mystic.

STONINGTON, CT – The Board of Selectmen voted Wednesday to commit to obtaining funds to replace a dormant bridge, according to the Westerly Sun.
The bridge connects Groton with Stonington in Old Mystic, according to the Westerly Sun. Stonington officials have said that Groton will take the lead on the project.
The state has provided a $600,000 grant to fund the $1.2 million project, which leaves both municipalities to pay around $300,000 each, according to the Westerly Sun. The bridge is also looked at as a safety benefit for both communities.
