Stonington Officials Hope Groton Will Commit to Old Mystic Bridge Project
Project officials plead their case to Groton Town Council during a meeting last week.

GROTON, CT - Stonington selectmen are encouraging Groton officials to move on the North Stonington Road Bridge project, the Westerly Sun reported.
While Stonington has committed to spending $309,000 for the project, Groton officials have yet to fully commit to putting up its portion of the money, according to the Westerly Sun. Project officials plead their case to Groton Town Council during a meeting last week.
First Selectman Rob Simmons later told the Westerly Sun the meeting went well and it seemed the council was leaning toward committing to the project. He also said he is hopeful the allocation will be approved at the Grotonās Representative Town Meeting.
