Stonington Police Arrest Man for Blocking Overnight Window and Refusing to Move

The suspect allegedly told police he had a right to stand there and refused to move.

STONINGTON, CT – A Florida man is facing charges after police said he intentionally blocked the Evans Mobil overnight window, the Westerly Sun reported.

Thomas Ladd, 31, of Miami faces breach of peace charges for refusing to move from the spot he was standing in after being asked by the clerk and police to do so, according to the Westerly Sun. Ladd was said to be waiting for a ride at the time.

The incident took place Saturday, Sept. 10, close to 2 a.m., according to the Westerly Sun. Ladd told officers that it was his right to stand there, however he did not resist when officers took him into custody.
