Stonington Police Find Loaded Gun After Stopping Vehicle: Report
Stonington police said they found a loaded handgun after stopping a man who was driving without his lights on.

STONINGTON, CT — Stonington police said they found a loaded handgun after stopping a Tennessee man's vehicle early Monday morning, the New London Day reported. The driver was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, police said.
Police said Edward B. Littlefield, 29, of Rockford, Tenn., was stopped on Liberty Street for driving without his lights on, according to the Day. The suspect then failed subsequent field sobriety tests, police said.
Police said they also noticed a loaded handgun on the floor of the suspect's vehicle, for which he did not have a permit, according to the Day.
