Stonington Police Issue Warning On Thefts From Cars

STONINGTON, CT — Police are advising residents to lock their cars and homes after incidents of valuables stolen from vehicles.

Stonington police posted the following on Facebook:

"We are again reminding residents to lock their cars and homes. We continue to see unlocked vehicles being entered during the overnight hours. This has resulted in stolen valuables and vehicles in numerous locations. While our patrol units continue to focus their efforts on apprehending these individuals we need your help. Be extra vigilant and every night make sure both your vehicles and residence are locked. If you observe suspicious activity or individuals dial 911 and do not confront suspected thieves."
