Stonington Police To Join Click It Or Ticket Campaign

STONINGTON, CT — Stonington police will be joining the nationwide Click It or Ticket campaign starting Monday, the New London Day reported. As part of the campaign, which will last through June 3, officers will be watching for drivers not wearing seat belts.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the campaign is targeted to all drivers, but especially the hard-to-reach males ages 18-34 who research shows are far less likely to wear seat belts.

In 2016, seat belt use in passenger vehicles saved an estimated 14,668 lives.
