Stonington Police Seeking Residential Burglary Suspects: PD

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police.

STONINGTON, CT – Stonington police are seeking information regarding a recent residential burglary on Canterbury Lane in Pawcatuck. The incident occurred Tuesday, Oct. 16 at approximately 3 p.m.

According to police, the victim said a man contacted her at the front door of the residence, claiming he was there to survey the rear of the property for the installation of a fence on a neighboring property.

The victim described the suspect as a man in his early forties, approximately 5-foot, 2-inches tall, with dark hair and a mole by his right eye. He was also wearing a reflective safety vest under a dark colored jacket.

While at the rear of the property, a second suspect entered the residence and proceeded to the bedrooms, where he took cash out of a dresser and left, police said.

The victim described the second suspect as a man who is approximately 5-foot, 3-inches tall, wearing sunglasses and a dark colored hat.

The homeowner said she returned to the front of the residence where a white 2016-2017 Ford Explorer with a dark tint was waiting, police said. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Officer Christopher Murray at 860-599-7521 or email cmurray@stonington-ct.gov.
