Stonington Police Solve 2018 ATM Theft With DNA Evidence
A man has been charged in the theft of an ATM three years ago.
STONINGTON, CT — An Ansonia man was charged with stealing an ATM from Pawcatuck convenience store three years ago, as police matched his DNA to a car found at the scene, according to The New London Day.
Santos Villafane, 54, was charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief, and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny.
He was held on $50,000 bond.

Villagane is accused of entering the Henny Penny store on Route on July 27, 2018, and stealing the ATM, according to The New London Day.
