Stonington Private School Receives $5,000 Grant
St. Michael School plans to put the money to good use.

STONINGTON, CT- St. Michael School recently received a grant of $5,125 from the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Norwich, The Westerly Sun reported.
The grant will be used for purchasing new middle school language arts textbooks, as well as tuition scholarships, according to The Westerly Sun. The school has reportedly received similar grants from the foundation in the past, usually in the range of $5,000 with a portion for tuition grants.
The grant helps both the private school’s tight budget situation as well as parents struggling to pay their children's tuition, as reported by The Westerly Sun. The Foundation gave out a total of $290,788 among grant applicants.
