Due to a tick outbreak and the concern of children contracting tick borne illnesses on the grounds of both Deans Mill and West Vine Street School, the district has deemed appropriate an emergency application of the pesticide Talstar P. Our certified pesticide applicator, Waltham Pest Services, will be conducting this application on Saturday May 21, 2022. As a result of this application, the school properties will be closed to the general public until Sunday May 22, 2022.Included in this notification are the areas to be treated highlighted in yellow, the pesticide's information sheet and the name and contact of the certified applicator.Waltham Pest Services400 Bayonet StreetNew London, CT. 06320
