Stonington Republicans Vote For Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney overwhelmingly won the support of Stonington Republicans in the presidential primary Tuesday. 

Of the 2,2729 registered Republicans in Stonington only 371 cast ballots.

Romney received 277 votes, Ron Paul 45, Newt Gringrich 25 and Rick Santorum 18.

According to The Huffington Post the Associated Press declared Connecticut for Romney just before 8:30 p.m.
