Stonington School Board Votes In Favor Of Allowing Pride Flags: Report
The Board of Education has voted in favor of allowing Pride flags in classrooms.

STONINGTON, CT — The Stonington Board of Education has voted in favor of allowing Pride flags in classrooms, according to FOX 61. The board voted Tuesday to allow the flags following concerns raised by some parents saying that the flags violated the district's policies on displaying political symbols.
However, parents, students, and teachers speaking at a special meeting Tuesday said the flags symbolize love, not political beliefs, FOX 61 reported.
Superintendent Mary Ann Butler said six complaints about Pride flags had been made. Butler recommended the board allow the flags to stay.
