STONINGTON, CT — A group of residents is criticizing Superintendent of Schools Mary Anne Butler's decision to remove Pride flags from classrooms, according to The New London Day. Some parents and residents have called on the school board to hold a special meeting to discuss the issue.
Butler said in an email that the issue stems from a parent's concern about a Pride flag in a classroom that violates the district's policy on political materials in schools, The New London Day reported.
