Stonington Schools Targeted In Ransomware Attack

STONINGTON, CT — The Stonington Public School system was the victim of a ransomware attack, according to The New London Day. School officials said that a team of technology professionals and third-party experts responded to the attack.

The investigation into the attack was still ongoing Wednesday afternoon.

Police were working closely with the school system and connected the district with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
