Stonington Town Meeting Passes Demolition Delay: Report
The town also passed measures to limit park hours and ban smoking in recreational areas.

STONINGTON, CT — Residents at a town meeting this week approved an ordinance that calls for a 90-day demolition delay and a ban on smoking of any kind on town recreational properties, according to The New London Day. The demolition delay ordinance is intended to support the preservation of architecturally significant buildings.
Residents also approved a measure to keep parks, playgrounds, and recreational areas open only from sunrise to sunset in an effort to help police address loitering at Donahue Park in downtown Pawcatuck.
