Stonington Woman Charged with DUI After Rear-Ending Vehicle: Police
A resident was sent to the hospital after being rear-ended by a woman charged with DUI.

STONINGTON, CT – A resident was sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being rear-ended by another vehicle, the Westerly Sun reported.
Police said Paula Vihateiro, 47, was immediately arrested after rear-ending the victim’s vehicle, according to the Westerly Sun. She has been charged with driving under the influence and failure to meet minimum insurance requirements among other charges.
The unidentified victim was taken to Westerly Hospital after sustaining serious injuries, the Westerly Sun reported. The incident occurred on Route 1 in the area of Lord’s Hill Road.
