'Stranger Things' Actor Visits Mystic

A popular actor from the Netflix television series "Stranger Things" recently visited Mystic.

MYSTIC, CT - Things got a little strange last weekend when actor Gaten Matarazzo, 15, visited family in Mystic, the New London Day reported. Known for his role as Dustin Henderson on the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things," the young star caught the attention of numerous fans as he made his way around town.

While in town, Matarazzo made stops at Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream and Mystical Toys, according to the New London Day. He also caught fans' attention while walking through Olde Mistick Village, who formed a crowd in front of the Grey Goose Cookery that grew so big Matarazzo had to try and escape.

Matarazzo also gave an interview with The Day while at the Mystic Starbucks, where he discussed the changes in his life as a result of starring in an immensely popular television series, according to the New London Day.

Created by brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, "Stranger Things" premiered on Netflix in 2016, instantly garnering praise from fans and critics alike. The show's second season premiered on October 27, and Netflix announced Friday the show had been renewed for a third season.

"Stranger Things" also stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp, according to IMDb.
