Terra Firma Farm Creamery Products To Be Sold At McQuade’s

Free samples of milk and yogurt offered at Mystic and Westerly locations Nov. 4 & 5

Five months after opening, Terra Firma Farm Creamery is proud to announce its locally produced milk and yogurt will be for sale at both McQuade’s Marketplace locations in Mystic and Westerly beginning Monday, Oct. 31.

The North Stonington creamery, an offshoot of Terra Firma Farm in Stonington, officially opened in June after a successful 2015 Kickstarter campaign. The creamery is located at 564 Norwich Westerly Road in North Stonington. All of the milk and other dairy products are made exclusively from Terra Firma Farm’s 100% grassfed Jersey cows’ milk and processed in their state-certified processing room on the farm.

Until now, the creamery’s milk, chocolate milk, coffee milk, yogurt and half-and-half have only been for sale at Terra Firma’s two farm stores. Free samples of Terra Firma milk and yogurt will be available at both McQuade’s locations - 14 Clara Drive, Mystic and 106 Main St., Westerly - on Friday Nov. 4 and Saturday Nov. 5.

“By bringing our milk and yogurt products to a locally owned grocery store, this allows us to expand our customer base in the most economical way possible,” said Terra Firma Farm owner Brie Casadei. “Our products have been a huge hit with our customers, but sometimes they can’t get out to the farm store to pick up their milk. This will put us in front of a wider audience that is looking for healthy, all-natural, locally grown, farm-fresh products for their families.”

What is Terra Firma Farm?
Terra Firma Farm, directed by Brianne Casadei (aka Farmer Brie), is a diversified pasture-based livestock and poultry farm located on two properties in Stonington & North Stonington, Connecticut. It opened in 2004. Using environmentally sustainable practices and alternative energy inputs, we produce 100% grass-fed beef, heritage breed pork, broiler chickens, layer chickens, specialty poultry and rabbits all on pasture. We sell direct at our farms in Stonington and North Stonington and wholesale to local restaurants and co-ops in Connecticut. As a nonprofit community farm we also have committed our energies to opening up our farm for educational field trips, programs and camps reconnecting our youth to agriculture.
