The Bedrooms and Showings

Do you have any idea what you need to do in the bedroom to prepare for a showing?  I know, take out all the clothing in the closets and throw them on the floor everywhere.  Then you put the silk sheets on the bed with the comforter in a complete mess at the end of the bed.  The silk sheets will show/tell all the stories.  Next, you take your prescriptions and hygiene supplies and spread them all over the dresser.  The night stand requires a few selected videos with a stack of magazines next to it.

I am sorry, but I am being very sarcastic, but this is what I see when I enter some bedrooms.  Buyers do look at everything and they do not want to know your stories.  Honestly, the Buyer does not want to know about your personal life.  The cleaner the area, the more comfortable the Buyer is which in turn could turn into a possible offer.

Tips for the bedroom:

1)    Clean and vacuum  the floor area.

2)    Make the bed.

3)    If you need to hide some things, put it under the bed.

4)    Do not pack everything in the closets.  The closets should not be any more than 3/4 full.  When there is a lot in the closet, Buyers start thinking that there is not enough storage.

5)    Utilizing luggage for the off season clothing.

6)    Remove the exercise equipment if it inhibits the ability to walk around the room.
