The Award-winning Stonington High School Theatre Department proudly presents
John Patrick’s warm-hearted comedy, “THE CURIOUS SAVAGE”, directed by Erin Sousa-Stanley, will be performed on November 15th, 16th and 17th at the Stonington High School auditorium. Show times are 7PM on Friday and Saturday evenings and 2PM on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
“THE CURIOUS SAVAGE”, is a kindhearted story that centers on an eccentric widow, Mrs. Ethel P. Savage, who is left $10 million dollars by her late husband. With a generous nature, Mrs. Savage wants to use the money to help others realize their hopes and dreams. However, her selfish stepchildren have other plans for the money and make many attempts to get their hands on it! In desperation, they commit their stepmother to a “sanatorium” thinking she will come to her senses. There Mrs. Savage meets an assortment of oddball, but friendly personalities. These zany individuals who can’t seem to adjust to the outside world team up with Mrs. Savage to lead her stepchildren on a wacky chase which will eventfully bring her stepchildren to humiliation. “This heartfelt comedy reminds the audience that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection can sometimes be found in the least likely of places.”
