SHS students have been writing notes of support and thanks for deployed military but it’s not just students, friends, family and residents alike can get involved, too. Drop off letters to SHS and career center staff will see those notes of thanks are forwarded.
Volunteering With Kids
Currently there are volunteer opportunities on Tuesdays at Deans Mill School from 3:30 to 4:30 to help with the After School Program. Contact Kristen at Human Services for more information at 860-535-5015.
Donating Food
Holiday food donations are needed at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. While the Thanksgiving baskets have already been filled, the need is still great for Christmas. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 13 for those Christmas food baskets weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at PNC, located at 27 Chase St., in Pawcatuck.
