Town Of Stonington Collects Information On Flood, Wind Damage
The town is asking residents for information about damages to see if the town qualifies for federal assistance.

STONINGTON, CT āThe Town of Stonington Emergency Management Team, working in conjunction with the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DESPP/DEMHS), is undertaking the initial damage assessment survey from the heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding that occurred on January 9th and 10th. This survey also captures damages as a result of coastal flooding on January 13th. Important to note that at this time this is only meant to assess the extent of damage to determine if thresholds and criteria are met to be considered under the FEMA Public Assistance and Individual Assistance programs. This is the first step to see if the region qualifies for requests in funding associated with the damage. Please provide all information related to the survey questions by Jan 23rd. Please know, responses received after this date will not be able to be considered in the assessment, so please share your response as soon as you are able.
You can email your responses to the survey questions (see attached) to bschneider@stonington-ct.gov or share your responses via the online survey form found here.
