Updates Provided for 2 Stonington Elementary School Projects

Residents were given updates on two elementary school renovations and expansions at a community meeting.

STONINGTON, CT – Residents learned the latest details of two elementary school projects in development Tuesday night, according to The Day.

Firms are currently working on the $67 million renovation and expansion of the Deans Mill and West Vine Street schools, The Day reported. Representatives were present at a community meeting hosted by the K-12 Building Committee to give updates.

The design of the project is estimated to be completed by the end of the year and various aspects of the project will be bid in February, according to The Day. Groundbreaking is scheduled for April, while construction for each school should end in the fall of 2018.
