MYSTIC, CT - A woman attacked by a pit bull at a Mystic hotel in 2014 reached a substantial settlement Monday with hotel officials, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin.
The case of Jo-Lynne Grillo was scheduled to go to trial on February 27, but instead has reached a $300,000 settlement with the hotel’s owner, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Her lawyer said Grillo had disfigurements and limited use of her right arm as a result of the incident.
The victim was attacked by the animal when she went to visit a friend, whose son was the owner of the aforementioned pit bull, the Norwich Bulletin reported. The dog died after being shot by police.
