The Rotary Club of Mystic supports many local, national and international charitable organizations and provides scholarships to local students through its fundraising activities.
As the Hartford Marathon Foundation prepares to produce the 10 th running of the Mystic Half
Marathon and 10K on May 19, 2024, the Rotary Club of Mystic seeks continued community support to benefit local scholarships.

The Rotary Club of Mystic began its partnership with the non-profit Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF) in May 2015 on the premier athletic event in southeast Connecticut. The race hosts more than 2,000 participants and volunteers annually, with thousands more spectators along the course and in Olde Mistick Village for the start and finish.

The event generates positive economic impact locally each year, and HMF invests in the community’s single largest annual public safety presence to support its professional event production. Additionally, significant benefit is provided through sponsorship fundraising for the multiple scholarships granted by the Rotary Club of Mystic to area graduating seniors, with more than $172,000 raised to date. The 2024 Mystic Half Marathon remains the most significant fundraiser for Rotary Club of Mystic, which is currently seeking community sponsorships and supporters.
