Warnings Issued To 2 Stonington Building Officials: Report

Town officials said the two men have been issued warnings following a complaint of alleged "unprofessional conduct" and "bullying."

STONINGTON, CT — Town officials said two Stonington building officials have been issued warnings after police detective Greg Howard complained in March about alleged "bullying" and "unprofessional conduct" by the two men, the New London Day reported.

According to the Day, Howard said the compliant was made in regards to how Building Official Lawrence Stannard and Assistant Building Official Robert Chevalier allegedly treated him after he did work on his Pawcatuck home without a permit.
