What's Open, Closed on Veterans Day 2013

Monday, Nov. 11, is recognized as a state and federal holiday, but while Town Hall may be closed, other places will remain open. Find out what's open and what's closed on Veterans Day.

Nov. 11 is considered a holiday in observance of Veterans Day. State and local government offices are closed but many retail businesses will remain open.

Here is a look at what's open and what's closed:

  • Town Hall: Closed
  • Transfer Station: Closed, but will be open Wednesday, Nov. 13
  • Human Services Department: Closed
  • Public Libraries: Closed
  • Public Schools: Closed
  • Banks: Most Closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: Closed
  • State government offices: Closed
  • State courts: Closed
  • Liquor stores: Open
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Retail stores: Open
  • Restaurants: Running on their usual Monday schedules.
