Widow Pushing for Harsher Charges in Stonington Boat Crash Case

The widow of a Stonington man killed in a deadly boat crash is pushing for more than a $300 fine against a New Jersey yacht captain.

STONINGTON, CT - The widow of a Stonington man killed in a deadly boat crash is pushing for more than a $300 fine against a New Jersey yacht captain, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

Cooper Bacon has been charged in a 2015 boat crash that killed 81-year old Walter Krupinkski, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Bacon was found guilty in March of three charges that carry a maximum $100 fine.

Peggy Krupinkski is pushing for more severe penalties against Bacon for her husband’s death, the Norwich Bulletin reported. The Coast Guard and federal prosecutors said they are currently reviewing the crash.
